How Did I Get This Old?

I'm not sure how it happened, but today I reached my 40th birthday! Do the years creep up on us or what? Anyway, it was wonderful in so many ways; firstly, I got to spend the whole day with just Adrienne and Jarvis. Adrienne was pushing me to do something, but being full a cold and quite homesick, I just wanted to spend it with my two loves.

Adrienne and Jarvis really spoilt me with presents. Along with the iPod I got as a VERY early present a couple of months ago, today I got a lovely Pierre Cardin dressing gown. Also, watch out Dan Carter, I got some very manly Bonds underwear. The presents kept coming, with stacks of Just William fudge and chocolate, an iPod cover for when I go walking and autobiography by Eric Sykes. In the post, I also got a great T-shirt (picture below) from my sister Stephanie aka Neffni.

Whilst I had a nana-nap (I'm 40 so this is the norm now) Adrienne and Jarvis went to Toys R Us, where they have installed a new ride. Jarvis' eyes nearly burst when he saw it - A Stuart Little ride...pure heaven. Whilst there, Adrienne bought Jarvis a wee stroller, as this is his favourite toy at play group.
