Dentist - Aquarium - Cake From The Girls

Jarvis had his third trip to th Dentist this morning, not because he has lots of cavities, but because of the one filling that he does have is in a tricky place and keeps coming out. It's a wee cavity between his two front teeth, a possible result of being a bottle feed baby. Apparently, it's bad to bottle feed babies coke! Just joking :o) But yeah, it's in a tricky spot and not worth doing major work on, as he'll loose them in the next couple of years anyway, so it's a minor plug job. He was such a good boy and kept his cool all the way through the treatment. What a brave wee man.

Adrienne came with us to the Dentists, but left for work once Jarvis was finished up. So the boys headed off to the Sydney Aquarium. As we walked to the aquarium, a really cute woman smiled at me, something that doesn't happen that often. I was stoked, but then realised that if I didn't have the boys with me, I wouldn't have got the first look, let alone the second. It's so true, that people actually smile at you when you have little people. I always say 'Hi' to other parents with little people, it's like a club thing, strange aye.

The aquarium was fun and the boys had a wonderful time looking at all the exhibits. I even enjoyed myself, as I've made a sport out of the ever so miserable staff they have there. They are all so sour, I'm totally convinced that they have zero training for staff/customer relationships. It's one of those places that if you can always hear staff bitching to each other about working there. I think they must have poor management. But yeah, I can hear them all bitching and it's great fun.

From the aquarium, it was a slow walk back to the car around Darling Harbor, which is one of the nicest areas of Sydney in my view. I guess I'm such a city boy, but there's something I like about well thought out and constructed cityscapes. Jarvis loves it too, as there are plenty of slopes, steps, railing and other pieces for a wee boy with boundless energy to climb all over.

It's become a bit of a nice tradition now, that Signe, Betty and Evie come over for an hour or so in the afternoon. It's good time to come round, as they tend to be with us between the hours of four to six, which are the ones that I find really drag after a long day of entertaining wee ones. It's wonderful for the girls and boys, whose ages match up really well, to play with each other. Also Signe and I, while both keeping a very watchful eye on our little people, get to have some grown up talk time. Anyway, the girls surprised us this afternoon with a wonderful chocolate cake, which was eagerly devoured by everyone. It was a yummy cake too, but the eating of it by four little people looked like a chocolate version of a Tarantino movie. There was chocolate sauce and crumbs everywhere! It was so nice to see them all sitting down together and eating, a wonderful end to the day. So thank you girls for the gift and leaving just in time for my boys, now loaded with sugar, to go wild!

House Dad.
