We caught up with our friends Yamini, Jai and Kirin at Centennial Park for a play. Jarvis hair was so long and big, that his hat did not fit, so he had to wear mine!
The boys had fun ducking from a very angry bird, that kept swooping down on them to protect its nest in the tree. We'd parked by the tree, so while I loaded up the car and ducked myself, the boys ran for cover.
As the morning play date was fast and furious, I insisted that the boys had a mid afternoon 'quiet time' session, where they each sat down with a bowl of grapes and watched a DVD.
After quiet time, we went out into the back yard and played for hours in the sun. The best part was drawing heaps of funky animals and drawing around our bodies. It was quite hot, so the boys had their evening bath in one of the paddling pools. It was only meant to be a quick wash down, but I went back and forth heaps of times with buckets of hot water, as they did not want to get out.
After giving up my hat to Jarvis yesterday, due to his Fro getting out of hand, I decided that I'd give him a long overdue haircut this morning. I did this in the bath and cut about 4cm off all over. It's probably the biggest haircut that he's ever had, however the ends were very dry. I think it made him look a fair bit older.
The new haircut certainly kept him cooler, as today's play venue was Little Dynamo's, which can get very hot for a racing and charging everywhere young guy. Jarvis was such a good boy and made so many new friends, spending, with his Brother, a staggering four-hours at Little Dynamo's.
House Dad.
