He'll Be Leaving Home Before We Know It

It's been pissing down in Auckland today, so the boys did all the chores and whizzed around the city doing odd-jobs. We did however take an hour out to visit Chipmunks in Albany. Jarvis had a ball and as last time, I was the only guy in the ball pit, playing on the climbing frames and pushing my wee one around. C'mon dads loosen up and enjoy your kids. I'm stunned how many sit back all staunch and let their partners do all that stuff. It's fun, they are so missing out.

This evening Jarvis crawled up the hallway to play in his room. Both Working Mum and I were a little bit upset. It's the first time he's been gone from our site and played on his own. It's all good though and part of his development. Jeeze, we'll be in tears the first time he wants to go off without us with his mates. Ah well, that's life.

Below is a picture of Jarvis reading in his room, on his new sofa. Cute or what?

House Dad.
