Mellow Monday

We've learnt not to do too much on a Monday, as Jarvis gets a bit crabby with Working Mum not being around. So this morning we just chilled and watched some Wiggles. Then both of the boys had a nap, which is not the norm, but after a restless night with more teething, it seemd like a great idea.

Then in the arvo it was into the Kombi and off to Chipmunks to catch up with Amanda and Boston. It was whilst at Chipmunks that I realised that all my R.I.E training was coming into use. Rather than picking Jarvis up off an object when he wanted to get off, I sat back and said "OK, I'm going to sit back and you can work out how to get off yourself. Here's the floor, here's the edge and now you can figure it out. I'll be here if you need me" And wouldn't you know it, it worked every time. He figured out how to get on and off all the objects on his own and was delighted with himself. R.I.E certainly does build a more confident child.
