A Day Trip To The Waikato

Jarvis and House Dad took a trip down to the Waikato today, to see a guy about doing some work on the Kombi. The guy that was to do the work up here in Auckland has closed down, so we had to trek all that way. The Kombi did really well, with only the Bombay Hills being a bit slow. It only took us 90-minutes each way. A bit of a shocker with the quote though - $9000...gulp! I think we'll just do the important bits. The quote was for ALL the rust and a respray though.

My co-driver was great company both ways, even though he sleep for an hour either way. While he was awake, we sang, ate sultanas and drank lemonade. It also seemed unfair to take the boy there and back without any fun, so we spent two-hours in Lollipops. It was so much better than any playcentre we've been to in Auckland. I have so say as well, the Waikato toddler's are alot nicer than their Auckland counterparts too. There's something to say about 'Country Kids'

House Dad.
