Of Course I know What I'm Doing...Oh those famous last words spoken to my dear wife as I prodded around the back of our PC and tried to reinstall Windows. As normal, she was right and I had no idea waht I was doing, resulting in a trip to the PC fix shop. $207 later, here we are!
The news over the last few days: Jarvis is well on the mend now and has regained his weight and now has a very good appetite - about bloody time too! Working Mum has just finished 3-days of hard work, leaving at 7am and getting home (drunk) at about 3am. This morning it was 4.30am I think. She's tucked up in bed with Jarvis now, having a wee sleep.
This week, Jarvis and I have been to Kelly Tarltons, The Auckland Museum and Newmarket for a shop. And I have so missed not having my PC to keep this blog updated. Fingers crossed it's all fixed now and we'll be right from here on.

Hi there House Dad. You posted a question to me quite some time ago about the fact you were moving to Sydney soon and had I any tips on raising a child here. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to respond. Things going on and I get behind in my blogging and emailing.
First of all thank goodness Jarvis is on the mend. My youngest son Oscar got the rabovirus gastro a couple of months ago and it was horrendous. Luckily he stopped vomiting half a day before we had to go to hospital for the dehydration. We have been there since for other things - but that is a whole other story.
My DH and I moved to Sydney 5 years ago and live on the Lower North Shore. We both work full time and the boys go to child care near the city. We love Sydney as it has so much to offer in the way of galleries, parks, museums, child play areas. A lot of these can be found in a free publication called Sydney's Child which I am happy to post you one of if you like. It also has lots of information re schools, music, and other general information.
If there are any specific questions perhaps you could email me at margaret . ev @ gmail . com
Then I could take more time and perhaps give you some specifics. I don't know all the areas of Sydney so well so it would help if you knew where you were going to be living and then I could get info specific to that area.
Hope all is well and that you have a great weekend :)
Cheers
M
