Thomas The Tank Engine

Today, the whanau headed off to Britomart train station to celebrate Thomas The Tank Engine's 60th Birthday. The crowds were massive and it was good to see so many Aucklanders get behind the event.

The queue for the retail section was huge, so we thought it would be better to go to Real Groovy to see if we could buy a Thomas The Tank Engine DVD for Jarvis. I also had a credit note, that was months old and needed to be used up before we head to OZ.

Now, every other time I have shopped at Real Groovy, which is Auckland's coolest music store, I've stood in line with stacks of the lastest and most'now' CD's. Today, oh how things have changed! I stood among all the 'young and not so beautiful' with a Thomas The Tank Engine, Telletubbies and Hi5 DVD's. I tried to hid them from everyone's view...how silly.

Anyway, below is a picture, which I had to lighten, due to the dark surronding, of Working Mum and Jarvis, across the track from Thomas.

House Dad.
