The Beach Boys

Jarvis and I went to our favorite beach, Clovelly this morning, for a few hours. It was the first time that I've attempted to get Jarvis, myself, a pram, tent and playthings onto the beach. Luckily Jarvis slept for 30-minutes in the car before we went down to the sand, so I was able to pack everything onto the pram and carry the wee man down, when he awoke.

We spent 2 great father-son hours on the beach, going in and out of the water and building sand castles. After that though, I felt we'd spent enough time in the sun, so struggled back up the hill with all the stuff. About 100-metres from the car everything spilled out and a really nice English lady helped Jarvis and I to the car. To say Thank You, we gave Emma and her mum Nicky, who has just arrived in Australia, a ride home.

Once home, Jarvis opened a present from his Nanny Trish - Jack the Tractor, another great piece for his Thomas set-up. Thanks Trish.

I also opened my e-mails and found a cool one from our VERY good mates, Amanda, Shane and Boston in Auckland. Attached were some cool pictures, which I've posted below. I didn't have time to fully read the e-mail, as Jarvis was demanding my attention, but I'm sure I read something about the sea water in Northland being warmer, as Amanda keeps peeing in it. Is that right Amanda?

House Dad.
