Friday = Celebrations In OZ and UK

Today we are having a double celebration. Firstly our niece Jessie has passed her 11+ in the UK and will be going to her Auntie Stephanie's old grammar school in Wilmington, Kent. Congratulations Jessie, we are very proud of you. Secondly, today is our thirteenth anniversary and Jarvis and I gave Adrienne a beautiful Oscar De La Renta PJ set. Apparently I get my present on Saturday night! Hope it doesn't clash with the Crusaders vs. Blues game, as that would be a tough choice to make.

Jarvis and I went to our Friday morning music class, and it went pretty well. Adrienne and I discussed that we won't force Jarvis to do anything at music class, as we know from that wonderful BBC documentary, A Child of our Time, that little people take it all in, so to force him, will cause stress for both Jarvis and I. This policy is working too.

After Jarvis had his nap, we jumped into the car and drove over to Watson's Bay. After a wee play in the park and beach, the boys got on the ferry to Circular Quay. We had a great time on the ferry and Jarvis made heaps of new friends. Once we got to town, we jumped off and had a play outside the Opera House. While we were waiting to get back on the ferry, with Jarvis in my arms, he looked at some woman, patted me on the chest and said, "Dah", before giving me a hug and kiss. OMG, I was so proud and touched that my wee man did that. That's the first time he's ever done that and it was so nice.

Once home, we had dinner and watched some Super 14 rugby, before both boys have an early night.

House Dad.
