Sharing - Caring, Wolfman And Park Fun

We've been on Jarvis case for what seems like forever about having kind hands and sharing with his younger Brother Felix. I think it's suddenly working, as I found both boys tucking into a tube of Pringle chips this morning, while watching TV. I looked on from a distance and each time Felix held his hand out and squeaked, Jarvis handed him a chip. Could this be a sign of things to come?

Once the boys had some proper breakfast and bathed, we drove to Bunnings, as I wanted to find a suitable table for a wee project that we will be doing this week. Nanny Ronnie has promised Jarvis that she'll buy him some plants, so that he can grow some potatoes, strawberries and other edible fruit and vegetables. The reason for the table is that I'm certain that wee Felix would destroy anything that grows, so have decided that it should be up out of harms way.

After locating a great trestle table, that I'll pick up in the week, we walked over to the garden centre of Bunnings, where we found a display of Venus Fly Traps. Jarvis had never seen such a plant before and was fascinated when I told him that they catch and eat bugs. He just had to have one. On the drive home he nicknamed the plant Wolfman Vampyre!

Within minutes of arriving home I found a fly in the bathroom, that I managed to swot. Jarvis then held Wolfman Vampyre while I dropped the still twitching fly into one of the plants barbed mouths. Jarvis was amazed to see the mouth close up around the fly. What a cool boys plant aye.

By now it was still only 10.30am and I wanted to get the boys out, but didn't want to do too much, as I was still very sore from yesterdays race. So it was that we found ourselves walking to a local park to meet up with Signe, Betty and Evie.

For the next couple of hours we had such fun, not just playing, but eating a wonderful lunch provided by Signe. Signe and I even found time to chat, something that rarely happens when you are looking after little people.

Once it was time to go I promised everyone that I'd buy them an ice-block, which we did from the dairy across the road from the park. It was a great idea, as it was a pretty hot day and the sugar rush from the ice blocks got everyone home in a super fast time. Once home and cleaned up, all three boys flaked out exhausted on the sofa for a wee nap.

So all in all, a splendid day :o)
