Ginger Bread People And Bunk Beds

My day started off with a wee run to try out my new running shoes at the un-godly time of 5.15am! I normally wake between 4.30 and 5.30am each day and do stuff on the PC before getting my babies breakfast and getting stuck into the day. It helps that I get a midday nap with Jarvis to enable me to do this so sort of thing, like getting my fat and flabby body out for a run before all the fit and sleek looking runners hit the streets.

After the run, I did the weekly groceries between 6.30 - 7.30am, then went home for a quick cup of tea and bacon sandwich with Jarvis and Adrienne, before shooting out again to Ikea to pick up Jarvee's new bunk beds. They wanted another $75 to deliver, so I unpacked the boxes and mattresses and stuffed it all into the car and had a rather dodgy, confined drive home. Luckily, no Traffic cops stopped me as the car was rather cramped.

On my return, I found Adrienne and Jarvis putting some Gingerbread people into the oven, but sadly the mixing bowl, my favourite part of baking, had already been washed up! I did get to sample the first one, in my capacity as official cake/biscuit taster of the house.

The next job was to assemble the bunk beds in the spare room, with the help of Adrienne and Jarvis holding his (Dah's) electric drill. We managed to put it together in about 40-minutes, without any grumpiness from me which, must be a first when it comes to self-assembly furniture. Once erected, Jarvis of course decided that the top bunk was his and I was relegated to the lower bunk. As normal in this family, I'm still at the bottom of the pile! Anyway, the plan is for Jarvis and I (bunk allocation to be decided) to sleep in the bunk beds while, Adrienne and V.2.0 sleep in the main bedroom.

While putting the beds together, Adrienne felt a few flutters in her puku, so we all had a wee feel of Version 2.0 moving around which, was SOOO exciting. Only another 2-weeks until our next scan and the possibility that we might be able to find out the gender. Do we let you guys know, or should we keep it secret?

After dinner, we took a walk around a few blocks to get some fresh air and spotted a digger over the road from us. It was sleeping so Jarvis put his finger to his lips and went "Shhhhhhh." We then went off and played with sticks, did heaps of hiding and spotted loads of pussy cats. We even chatted to Chubb's (fluffy black cat) owner. When we left, our bold little man, gave the woman, who was quite cute, a big kiss goodbye. He's such a floozy!

House Dad.
