The scan went really well and the service of The Ultrasound Care, at the RPA Medical Centre was totally fantastic. The woman who did the scan was amazing and her encouraging words put us at ease. You can get a bit nervous at these things, especially for us, as when we had our first scan with Jarvis back in New Zealand, the guy didn't say a word throughout, and when you are first timers, you are obviously very nervous. Anyway, the scan went well and Adrienne has a very healthy little baby in her puku.
As a family, we are shockers a keeping secrets, and I've lost count of the times we've bought each other presents for birthdays and Christmas, only to give them to each other way before the special day. This also applies to knowing the sex of our babies, and this morning we found out that Version 2.0 is a boy. How cool is that! We'd be happy either way to be honest, but Adrienne was convinced that she was carrying a boy. Also, Amanda back home in New Zealand, did the spinning hair thing and predicted a boy, so she's keeping up her 100% record with predictions - nice work Amanda. So there you go, another boy, a little brother for Jarvis. We are stoked.
After the scan, Adrienne went back to work and I came home to catch up with Jarvis and our visitors. I'm so much more relaxed in our own home than when I go visiting, as I know it's child proof and that if there's anything to be broken, Jarvis has already seen to it. It was great to chat with Chris and Alisa who are just the coolest people, with the most beautiful boys. Jarvis and Kai got on pretty well and had a great time getting dirty at the park, which made me aware for the first time about one draw back of having a Caucasian child, and that is they show up the dirt more easy!
House Dad.
