NZ Trip Day One: Seperate Planes

We are just getting ready to leave for our 11-day trip back home to New Zealand. Katherine, who will be house sitting while we are away, has been show how to operate everything and how much food to feed the fish, so we are pretty much ready to go and are just waiting for the taxi. Fingers crossed, I'll be able to update the blog everyday. Right, it's off to the airport, where Jarvis and I will fly to Auckland and Adrienne to Christchurch for a conference...wahooo!

Well, we had an OK flight over, though Jarvis didn't have his normal in-flight sleep and instead spent nearly the entire flight playing with a group of Korean woman. Of course they we taken with his hair, but also but his antics, as he pulled out all his funniest moves and kept them all entertained.

The Auckland arrival leg of our journey was a bit of a shocker, as Jarvis went walkabout whilst I tried to spot our luggage on the conveyor belt. But all the tears were only due to being over tired and grumpy.

It's so nice to be back home and Auckland's weather is just fantastic. Jarvis and Boston have their moments, but have had some wonderful times playing together. It's also so nice to see our very good friends Shane and Amanda, whose house we are staying at.

So all in all, it wasn't that bad a trip, with the only downside being back in the AWFUL Auckland road system which has reached critical mass and can never come right. It was also nice last night when I went out to the car and everyone that walked past me said hello...It's great to be back in God's Own.

House Dad.
