Help Build Zoey's House

We had a very lazy day yesterday, as everyone was tired so thought we should make more of an effort today for Jarvis's sake. Jarvis and I headed off early this morning to the Powerhouse Museum, leaving Lee at home to do the housework. Lee and Jarvis go there all the time and it was raining, so we figured it was a good place to go. Jarvis was so cute, I told him I didn't know the way, so he would have to show me, even from the bottom of our street he told me 'right here Mumma, left here Mumma' - we found our way eventually!

Once at the Museum he was very excited to be in charge, running here there and everywhere - by chance I'm sure we ended up at the kiddies level, where there's a new exhibit called 'Help build Zoe's house' which was excellent, as per normal, we were nice and early and one of the first kids there. They had hard helmets and jackets for kids, the exhibit was excellent with loads of cranes, trains, pulleys and a house with foam bricks to build it. Jarvis was so funny he was walking around in his builders outfit, tried out all the levers and as quick as the other kids built the house it he destroyed it, kicking in the walls which, was fine as they just laughed (there were a couple of 5-6 yr olds building the house and they really didn't mind) and built it again. It was a great place with loads of kids by the time we left, but as they all had something to do there were very little fights, everyone was just running around enjoying the playing - I was very impressed.

On from this exhibit Jarvis pulled me all over the Museum, 'come see Mumma, come see Mumma', we had a lovely time and we were there for 2 1/2 hours which was long enough, as Jarvis was starting to get tired so we headed home for a sleep.

While we were away Lee stayed home and did the cleaning, what a score not only did we get to spend the morning playing but also to come home to a lovely clean house - thanks Lee your a star!!
