Ahoy There, It's Captain Pugwash

Our normal Tuesday morning buddies,Lisa and Luca were not able to do a play date today, so Jarvis and I went into the city on our own for a father and son only trip.

Before our trip out we had to visit our Doctor, so that she could prescribe Jarvis some more eczema cream, as we've run out of his supply. I also got her to check his chest, as he was coughing a wee bit over the last few days, and it seemed to me like and asthma type noise, however his chest apparently sounded fine, but I'll keep an eye on him. She did ask if he coughed when he stops running, so I said that if he ever stops running, I'll have a listen. He may develop asthma, as he's inherited his eczema from me, so yeah. It's doesn't worry me though, as he'd not be the first All-Black to be asthmatic :o) I also got our Doctor to weigh the wee fella as we are always worried that he doesn't eat enough and he may be underweight. He came in at 15.5 kilogrammes, which is above the 50% mark for his age, so he's alright there.

From the Doctors, we jumped on the train with no real idea where we'd go, until we heard a tourist ask what station to get off for The Maritime Museum, so thought, that'll do us. We are members of two other museums, but never joined The Maritime Museum, as the outside exhibits of HMSA Vampire, HMSA Onslow, HMSA Advance and Endeavor all have a height restriction on them, meaning up until now, Jarvis was not able to go on them. However, this morning I noticed that as he walked passed the sign that had the height requirement on it, he was a good few centimetres over it, so I may talk to Adrienne about membership, as that will give us another option when going out. A household costs $85 per year and if the three of us went say at the weekend, then entry alone would be $65.

Anyway, the boys had a pretty good time even though we didn't go on the big boats outside and I bought Jarvis a Captain Pugwash DVD in the gift shop, as I've been looking for the series for ages. if you were raised in the UK and about 35+ you would remember this animated series from TV. It has all the episodes on it and I'm hanging out to watch it, which I might do now while Jarvis sleeps. I can't watch it tonight as I'm off to the movies with Katherine, so Adrienne and Jarvis can watch it at bedtime.

House Dad.
