The last lot of books that I got out for Jarvis were a bit too grown up for him, so taking Michelle's advice, I choose more wisely this time around and got some simpler titles. I picked Let's Get A Pup, Do Not Open This Book, Chomp, Seven More Sleeps, 365 Penguins and of course you can't go wrong with a good New Zealand book, so my final pick was Where Kiwis Go At Night. I'm sure Jarvis and Adrienne will have heaps of fun reading them together, come bedtime.
Once Michelle and I had picked the books for our little people, we went outside into the Italian Forum for a play in the sun, as today has been the first pretty chilly day of the year in Sydney. There's definitely a sharp chill in the air, so a spot in the sun is most welcome. I grabbed a coffee (Michelle doesn't drink tea or coffee) and we watched our little people first climb onto he fountain of Dante, which gave Michelle quite a fright, as Jarvis has no fear and nearly stands on the very, very edge of the ledge overhanging the water. From there it was a game of chase and a stiff climb up the paved seating area to the ride on vehicles, the place we first met Michelle and Ava about four-weeks ago. Then both Ava and Jarvis thought that their olds looked too comfortable, resting against the wall in the sun and chatting, so kept us on our toes by running up and down the slope that leads to the library. Luckily, all that Physical Culture means that Michelle is pretty spritly on her toes, so with me amped on coffee, we managed to keep up with our little monkies.
So yeah, a lovely catch up this morning, which gave Jarvis some fun play time with Ava, allowed me some very brief grown-up talk time and lifted my spirits hugely. Though I do seem to remember promising to do Michelle's housework for some reason. Is that a verbal agreement, and is it standing? Help!
Oh yeah, Adrienne got her hair done today, as she's away to a conference in Adelaid next week. The colours are lovely, but hairdressers always insist on blowdrying it straight. I love Adrienne's curly hair and Jarvis was not sure what to do when he saw his beloved Mumma with straight hair. I think he was so startled that he found a new dangerous hiding place in the corner of his play room.
House Dad.

Hey Jarvis, I love the look of your playroom hiding place! This morning I discovered the top shelf under the kitchen sink and if I climb up there, I can reach the tap, no problemo! Fun giving our olds the run around, eh!! Bye for now, grewvybaby.
