Friday Friends

My day started off with Jarvis getting breakfast in bed while watching Thomas The Tank Engine and having me take a picture of him doing so. My next job was to give Adrienne a cup of tea and tomatoes on toast for breakfast, while she lay in the bath, but for some reason, she wouldn't let me take a picture of her doing that for the blog!

Once up and dressed and with Adrienne safely deposited off at the train station, I called our regular Friday friend Jane to see what we should do today. As it was wet and windy, we decided that we'd go over to Jane, Tommy and Sophie's house, have a play and then see what we felt like doing. Also, we've all had wee colds, so felt a nice homely, relaxing day would do us all a bit of good.

This is the first time that we've been to their house, as we've had such a wonderful summer, there's been no need to do anything inside. So imagine how excited Jarvis was to see his buddies in their own house. He was even more stoked when he saw the large amount of cool toys that the twins, along with their big brother Alexander have. His eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Sadly after only about 20-minutes of being there, poor Tommy had a slip and banged his face, meaning that he was a little shaken, so did the best thing in these circumstances, and cuddled up with his Mum on he sofa for a while. This didn't stop Jarvis and Sophie, who both continued on Tommy part, to have a wonderful time, until Tommy was up and ready to go again.

I even had the privilege of being allowed to do Sophie's hair, something that I'm told is an honour to be allowed to do. Being an ex-hairdresser from way back, I could just about remember what to do and put up Sophie's hair, so that she looked like a Princess.

As it was a completely poo day outside, we drove to McDonald's for some lunch, which was a good idea, as they have a play area, so the little ones could run off some energy after being inside all morning. It was while in the play area that I saw Jane looking at Tommy sore face, as only a Mother can. Jane looked so sad for her poor wee man. But after some food and fresh air, he came right and was chasing around with Jarvis and Sophie.

So what a wonderful morning we had with Jane, who is just the best mate and her two beautiful wee children, Tommy and Sophie who we just adore spending our Friday's with.

House Dad.
