Jarvis Through The Ages

I bought a new Sony Cybershot 13-days ago and the bloody thing has already stopped working! It's annoying, as I really rely on a camera to make this blog work, so without one, I'm stuffed. I'm going to go back to Dick Smith tomorrow and ask that they replace it, as I'm sure legally it's not working correctly. Watch this space tomorrow to see how I get on.

So yeah, I was busting to do an update yesterday and today was complete hell without my camera, but I need my blog fix, so decided that I'd trawl through the many thousands of photographs that I have on my PC of Jarvis and put some of the old pictures up. Being the geek that I am, I have them categorised into folders of six-month lots: 0 - 0.6, 0.6 - 1, 1 - 1.5 and so on. What started out as a simple task to ages and ages, as both Adrienne and Jarvis wanted to see the pictures too. There are so many really funny ones that didn't make it onto the blog, like the one of a six-month-old Jarvis pushing his truck along naked in our garden in Auckland. It was also interesting to see how much alike Jarvis and Felix are in the first year of their lives.

So below we have a selection of pictures of Jarvis from 0.6 up to 3.5. I hope you enjoy them.

House Dad.

Future All-Black Jarvis at about five-months old in our Browns Bay home in Auckland, New Zealand. The house, although amazing, was built amongst some amazing native trees, but the four levels were only accessible via a steel spiral staircase that went done through the centre of the house. 100% child unfriendly.

Jarvis now about seven-months old and looking a bit like his future sibling Felix. His hair is blond, but as yet, not curly.

I just love this picture of Jarvis at about 1-year-old, as he'd just started to walk confidently and always wanted to be outside. By now we've moved to a more suitable house in Glenfield, Auckland. He still looks a bit like Felix and under that hat, there's the start of some blond curls.

Looking a bit too much like a chav for my liking (what was I thinking) a now 1.5- year-old Jarvis is living in Sydney, as his olds took up the offer from Adrienne's company to move us across the ditch. This picture is taken at Taronga Zoo, a place we'd spend many hundreds of hours over the coming years.

Jarvis is now over two-years old and we are settled into the area of Annandale, in the Inner West of Sydney. This picture is taken on a sunny Sydney day in Hyde Park. The curly hair is now well and truly established.

Our little man is now just over three-years-old and this picture is taken on one of our many exploring trips around Annandale. Jarvis, like his Dah, has a lovely Australian tan and is happy and healthy.

Jarvis took ages to warm up to the arrival of wee Felix when he was three-years and one-month old, but things are pretty good these days, with just the odd incident. I'm sure one day, they'll grow to be the greatest buddies in the world.
