I've said many times that I love living in Sydney, but the biggest drawback I find is that it's not a particularly friendly place, as people are pretty grumpy and no one says thank you or smiles. There is one oasis though, and that's The Powerhouse Museum, which is just the friendliest place to visit in Sydney. No sooner were we through the door when we were greeted by the ever smiling Dom at reception. Dom is just the coolest and always takes the time to make us feel welcome and has that knack of always making you feel like she's listening whole-heartedly when you speak. What a great way to start our visit aye.
The next stop was up the the members lounge for a play and a visit to see our buddy Alana. Again it was all smiles and the immense feeling that Alana, who although was extremely busy, was pleased to see us. It's been ages since we've seen Alana, who is ultra smart and makes the most delicious gooey biscuits. No word of a lie, I scored a biscuit this morning, which I think was chocolate chip, something else and cinnamon. OMG! It was wonderful. Thanks Alana :o)
After a short play it was onto the serious business of checking out the museum. As per normal we just followed in Jarvis wake, as he tore from place to place at a million miles per hour. There were a few stops though that allowed enough time for Felix to get out of his stroller and for me to rest up. The most time was spent in the excellent outside play area, where I managed a quick coffee, while the boys played in the glorious winter sunshine. There was one hairy moment though when Jarvis climbed up way too high on the climbing thing. My heart stopped when I spotted him about a metre from the top. Boys and climbing aye ;o)
