As I set up the sun tent, everyone else headed down to the waters edge. Jarvis was straight in and up to his neck in the chilly water, which is wonderful after the first couple of years when he was not too keen on the sea. Saying that, his first introduction to the Australian beaches were surf areas with massive waves, so it's not surprising.
After about 30-minutes in the water, the wee guy, who barely has any fat on him was shivering with cold. We wrapped him up and he snuggled up with his beloved Mumma to warm up. It was about at this point that suddenly a strong wind kicked up forcing most people to leave the beach. We tried to sit it out, however it got ever more fearsome, resulting in us too, packing down all our gear and heading home.
Once at home and with the sand and sea water washed off our skin, the boys still had plenty of energy, so Adrienne took them for a walk to Kids Stuff. I stayed behind for a sleep, as I've had lots of early morning runs over the last week, so needed a quick catch up sleep.
Then this evening Adrienne suggested that they make some cupcakes, which Jarvis was very keen to do. Jarvis mixed all the ingredients, which he then put into wee cup cakes and into the oven. Once cooked, he then sprinkled some colourful bits on top and presented them to his Grandparents. What a clever wee boy we have ;o)
