As we queued outside we made some new friends called Jai and Kirin, who along with their Mother Yamini, were also paying a visit to the museum. We got talking and discovered that both Yamini and I are both ex-Londoners. The chatting continued for a while longer, as we took them up to the members lounge for a look and play, before they headed off into the museum. We stayed just long enough for me to gulp down a cup of tea and for Jarvis to dress up as a Chinese warrior.
Jarvis lead the way from one exhibit to another informing us as to what each display was. I was so impressed with his sentence structure and range of words, all due I'm sure to the months of speech therapy he's received.
We then ended up in Zoe's House and bumped into our new friends, plus their play date buddies Zoe, Sophie and their Mum Emma and Dad Pete. It was nice to see them and great for me to watch another parent with two wee boys, roughly the same age our my wee men.
Once our new friends left, I kept the boys at the museum for another hour, as I wanted them to be really tired, so that they would fall asleep during the drive home. I'd also arranged for them to meet their big Sister Claire outside. Jarvis was SO HAPPY to meet his new big Sister and wouldn't let go of Claire. We couldn't stay with Claire to long though, as Felix was very, very tired, so left Claire, promising Jarvis that we'd catch up again soon.
And as planned by the uber-organised Dah, both boys were fast asleep before even leaving the car park. Once home, all three boys enjoyed a lovely, long after sleep. What a tough life eh!
House Dad.
