Another Mega Update

I have to confess that I considered giving up blogging for late November and all of December, as we move into Adrienne's crazy season, which sees Adrienne out most nights with clients. This coupled with the increase in my training for the next big run, is making it hard to find the time to blog, so apologies or another bulk update.

Thursday

Our good friend Manal's husband Hector has was away on business, so we decided to have dinner out on Thursday night. Our family met up with Manal, Tyler and Cameron, plus another running buddy Danni and her little people came along, for what was a very noisy dinner date. It was delightful chaos at the table, with food being passed here and there and a noise level that was amazing.

After dinner we moved onto the park, so that the little people could burn off some energy, while the adults had a chat. It was such a nice feeling to be around friends and family and made Sydney feel a little bit more like home for us.

Friday

The weather was pretty awful in Sydney on Friday, so after school we just played around the house. At about 5pm a huge thunderstorm erupted over Sydney, bringing with it a fantastic hail storm. The boys and myself sat out on the front porch and watched the whole event unfold. It was so spectacular. On the downside, as we were enjoying the show, poor Adrienne was cycling home in it and got soaked.

Saturday

I did a massive cross country run on Saturday morning, so when I returned, Adrienne kindly took the boys out, so that I could have a catch up sleep, as I had to look after the boys on my own later that night. Adrienne took the boys to Toys R Us, as Jarvis wanted to start his Christmas list. It was basically Hot Wheels or Hot Wheels, as that is what he's into presently. Adrienne was amazed to see that Jarvis had written the word HOT on his list. What a clever wee guy.

Sunday

This morning we met up with the majority of Jarvis school mates and parents for the annual Christmas picnic. It was nicely located for us too, as it was in our local park. After a few days of awful weather, it turned out to be a lovely day and we all enjoyed catching up with the other little people and parents, in a more relaxed atmosphere.

House Dad.
