Just like Jarvis' great buddy Boston back in Auckland, Jarvis has now moved into the tantrum phase. He now has a really ear-splitting scream/cry when he does not get his own way, which is just incredible. And today he threw his best tanty whilst we were doing the weekly shop. Everything we went past, he wanted to grab and screamed when I would not let him. We know that it's just a phase and try not to react to his screams, which I think the tantrums are trying to get us to. The majority of the time, If I pull the same turned down lip look back at him, he'll normally crack a smile. This is what we did when he used to clench his fists with frustration. We just did the same and said, 'Jarvis, you're a strongman' Now it's become one of his party tricks. So yeah, hopefully we can remain good humoured through this phase and come out the other side sane and still with our hearing intact.
Below are a couple of pictures from this arvo of Jarvis in his pool, in our sloping yard. The close up shows his scared nose, from his face plant on the concrete.
House Dad.
