Jarvis' sleeping pattern can at best be described as light and random, however, today Jarvis mananged two two and a half hour sleeps. That's incredible for him and even more amazing is that I managed to get so much done. I did about a weekends worth of sorting stuff and cleaning, stuff I never get a chance to do.
In between sleeps, Jarvis and I sat on the back doorstep and watched the rain and high winds. Jarvis was loving watching all the leaves fly off the enormous gum tree that overhangs our yard. I started to worry though, when the bits flying off got larger and larger. Finally a sizeable piece of wood smashed to the ground about a metre from us and I decided that we should go inside. We went out after the storm and there were whole branches where we had been sitting...phew!
Part of my massive work effort today was to put Jarvis' cot together, which he delighted in climbing into (see pic below). However, when I said, 'sleeptime Jarvis' he panicked and wanted to get out right away. It's going to be hard giving up sleeping with his Mum everynight. More of how that goes, in a few weeks.
House Dad.
