Two Red Faces

Jarvis was a little out of sorts today, as his Nanny flew back to New Zealand this morning, and his Mum was at work - he was stuck with boring old Dad. Anyway, we went to the mall and it was a shocker, with tantrum after tantrum. It really got me down. We did however manage to get half of the weekly shopping, which included a punnett of raspberries, which Jarvis just loves. I grabbed a quick, out of focus shot of his raspberry covered face for the blog.

It's now 9.35pm as I type today's update and I've just come back from a brisk 45-minute walk. The walk was my first bit of exercise in over a year, since becoming a full-time Dad. It was helped by the sounds pumping into my ears from my wonderful 30 Gig iPod, that Adrienne brought me (she's a honey) Anyway, I've been felling a bit down the last couple of weeks, due to finally coming off the anti-depressants, that I've been on a for a few years now. I've decided that I don't need them anymore and that hopefully exercise will raise my happiness and endorphine levels, Funnily, within 10-minutes of walking, a broad smile came across my face, and that's not happened for years ( I was even listening to a Smiths track at the time!)

So yeah, it's time to lose weight, get fitter and be a better husband, as poor Adrienne, who I love dearly, has suffered my mood swings for too long now. I think I'm lucky to still have a roof over my head. Thanks Adrienne, you are the best friend/partner EVER oxo

Below is Jarvis' red raspberry face and my red sweaty face.

House Dad.
