Jarvis Is In The Building

The whanau went across town this morning to Drum City. After Jarvis enjoying music class yesterday, we decided to go and buy his some instruments of his own. He's already put a hole in my bodhran and whacked the hell out of my tabla's, so he should have his own.

Jarvis' eyes nearly popped out of his head when we went into the store. So did mine when I saw the price of a set of tabla drums like mine - $525. I'll be putting them up somewhere safe from now on. Sadly our camera, which is on it's last legs, didn't allow me to take any pictures of Jarvis in the shop. At Drum City we picked up some baby bongo's, some shakers and some marackers. As we drove home, we passed a toy shop and popped in for a wee look and found a shop soiled mini guitar, with some strings missing for only $10...bargain or what?

Once we got home, Jarvis had to take his bongo's to bed with him. He wouldn't let go and fell asleep clutching them. He's also been walking around the house all arvo saying 'Tar', which means guitar. The plan is for Jarvis to become a famous musician and then the ozzie's will try claim him as one of their own...NOT.

House Dad.
