It was with high hopes that Jarvis and I atteneded our second music class, after the complete disaster we had last week. Jarvis as always seemed in good form and the lesson started off ok, however after about 15-minutes, he'd had enough and had no intention of playing ball. We had a couple of tantrums and a couple of trips outside, as I was getting bored of the instructor constantly saying, 'No Jarvis' I think I'll give it one or two more weeks and assess the situation.
Maybe he's just not interested, or hates structure or I'm just too slack a parent. I don't know, but I don't think we can do too many of these lessons if this continues.
On a brighter note, we went to the Entertainment Quarter in the afternoon for a play on the swings and slides, and had quite a good time.
Now it's only a matter of hours until Adrienne gets home and I get a breather from constantly saying, "No", which I really hate.

Hi!
Have you heard of a CD called Pukeko Stomp? If those music classes don't work out get a copy and Jarvis can do music at home with you - I use it at work with the kids and it is always a favourite, there's some great action songs, some you do with instruments, and most of them are great for developing listening skills (always good!). It's simple stuff, easy to follow and understand, so I would definitely recommend trying it, and all from the comfort of your own home...who knows, you might end up starting your own toddlers music group!!
Have a good weekend, Bex :)
