The Home Alone Boys - Day Two

The key to surviving the week whilst Adrienne is away, is for Jarvis and I pace ourselves. And we couldn't have started the week better than a trip to the park with Lisa and Oscar first thing this morning. Lisa gave us a call out of the blue and we hooked up to feed the ducks and then play for ages at a play ground we've never been to before. This was the first time that we've hung with both Oscar and his Mum and we now know where he gets his cool as a cucumber genes from. It was just the perfect start to the week.

In the afternoon we went to the mall to pick up a present for the newly born Sophie King which, we'll post tomorrow. We didn't get the chance to post it at the mall, as Jarvis by this stage was getting quite grumpy. With this in mind we had to call our good friend Louise and cancel our trip to see her. Louise, as we've come to expect, was most understanding and we've rearranged to catch up on Friday.

So the rest of the day was spent at home resting, Jarvis choosing to slip into some shoes and read a good book.

House Dad.

ps. It's now 11.06pm and I've just spent an hour trying to get Jarvis back to sleep after someone decided to beep their horn really loud in the street. It was made a bit easier by having taken the day easy and having energy in reserve. Time for bed - again!
