Only One Dah Day This Week

As Adrienne was off work yesterday, Jarvis only got to drive his Dah crazy for one day this week. It was a pretty cool day too, as we received a wonderful present from our great buddy Shoshana in the States. It was a book called Baby Blues: This Is Going To Be Tougher Than We Thought, that Shoshana took the time to send us and we are so very grateful Shoshana, thank you :o) I'm actually just about to finish one book, so this will be great to read until I find my next mammoth read.

Jarvis combined the Alien Mr. Potato Head that his Brother Felix gave him for his birthday, with the other Mr. Potato Head pieces this morning. This meant that Felix, Jarvis and I, all had our own head to play with. Jarvis and I made some funky looking creatures, whereas Felix just chewed his pieces, which reminds me of the scene from Toy Story where Mr. Potato Head says "Three and up, three and up, it says so on the box."

After the boys helped me do the weekly shop, we took a wander around the mall to find some new sun glasses for Jarvis. Eventually we found a cool Hot Wheels set in KMart. Jarvis put them on, put his hands in his pockets and informed me that he was now a dude.

Signe, Betty and Evie came round for lunch and we all sat in the lovely winter Sydney sunshine. Both Signe and I told the wee ones not to knock over their lunches or drinks. Within minutes I'd knocked over their plates of food and Signe knocked over their drinks!

Then at 1.00pm Jarvis favorite girl Becs arrived. Jarvis has not see Becs for ages, as she's been finishing off her degree. He was stoked and remained by her side for the next five-hours, not allowing anyone else to play with her. Becs arrived with a birthday present for Jarvis, that was a remote controlled tarantula! My god, it looked scary and not unlike some of the spiders we've had run ins with since moving to Australia.

After a cup of tea and catch up with Becs, Jarvis jumped on his new bike for a ride to the local gas station to buy some batteries for his new toy. It was lovely to be all walking down the road in the sunshine, chatting and watching Jarvis speed along on his new bike. He's pretty much mastered it, except for when he goes too fast, panics and forgets to brake. Quite scary for Father and Son.

House Dad.

Wow it looks like you had a fantastic time in The Blue Mountains for Jarvie's 4th birthday. Happy Birthday to you, it all looks such fun to be 4!
