Saturday night was really cool, as Rhett, Nicole and wee Tahlia came to our house for pizza, beer and rugby. Could you ask for anything more in life? We watched, firstly the All-Blacks beat England, followed by Australia beating Ireland. So yeah, it was a very happy weekend for southern hemisphere rugby in our house :o) Jarvis enjoyed having Tahlia to play with too and they shared a plate of hot dogs and grated cheese.
I set off this morning for a club run, but as I have done a couple of times before, got lost, as the starts are in all over Sydney and invariably in isolated places. I plot my route the night before and even though I have the route written down and a road map, in the early hours, in complete darkness and at about 5.30am, I almost always seem to get lost. Most times I get there, but after frantically driving around extremely confused. Anyway, this is the third time I've not found the start and come home feeling VERY depressed. It's simple things like that can send me spiraling down for days on end. However, Adrienne handled me very well and suggested that we buy an in car GPS system, as we do get lost a bit driving in and around Sydney.
So off it was to our local mall, where Adrienne, Jarvis and Felix went off to see Speed Racer, while I first did the weekly shop, then purchased a TomTom One XL GPS. Over a cup of coffee, I read the instruction manual and then went up about 30-minutes early to wait for my babies to come out of the movies. As per normal, they'd left before the end, as both boys had had enough. This is why grumpy Dah doesn't take them to the movies anymore. Poor Ade, hasn't seen the end of a movie for months LOL.
Once home and fed, Jarvis and I were itching to use our new in-car robot, who we've called Katrina, after the voice she instructs you in. Amazingly, we had the option, that we chose, to pick a female New Zealand voice. Sadly though, she doesn't say AYE at the end of every sentence! Anyway, we plotted the route to Jarvis school and had a great time looking at the graphics. We then spent another 30-minutes just driving around and playing with our new toy. It rocks being a boy aye and a MASSIVE thanks to Adrienne for our new gadget.
Talking of Adrienne, the BEST Mum in the world has just done an update on Felix's blog, so have a look to see how the wee guys is getting on.
House Dad.
