Finally, Lunch With Auntie Sophie

Throughout Jarvis short life, he's had a ridiculous amount of lunch dates with his Auntie Sophie, whom I worked with a Prime TV, back home in New Zealand. I think Jarvis was only 10-days old when I first took him into work, to have him whisked away from me by Sophie, so that she could give him a tour of the building. Since then Sophie and Jarvis, along with myself of course, in my role as cleaner upper and buyer of lunches, have had many, many lunches of Burger King over the years, with the boys even going out of their way to stay in Auckland for a few days when we are home, to have a BK lunch with Auntie Sophie.

Some two-months ago Sophie moved to Sydney, and there have been numerous attempts to hook up for lunch, with all being canceled for one reason or another. However, today we were all determined to actually get together for a hug and hello. So the boys jumped onto the train, where Jarvis informed everyone that he was off to see his Auntie Sophie and found our way through the Rocks area of Sydney to meet up with Sophie.

As soon as Sophie came down from her office, Jarvis dashed up to her for a kiss and cuddle. He remained in her arms for several minutes and got quite upset if Felix or myself got too near his Aunt.

Then it was down to a local cafe for some lunch and a much needed coffee for Dah, to catch up on all the gossip from back home. It was strange to hear Sophie's Kiwi accent, especially when she said "Egg", which sounded like "Igg". Sophie also commented on Jarvis accent, noting the Aussie twang.

Our hour with Sophie flew by, but it was so nice to see our girl again and lovely to have her over this side of the ditch now. I'm sure there will be plenty more lunches and play dates in the future, which of course Jarvis would just love ;o)
