Our first stop was at JB Hi-Fi where we meet a person who we'd consider to be the friendliest Australian we have EVER met! His name was Alan (pictured below) and he looks after security at the door. He was amazing with Jarvis, chasing his around the shop front, making doggy noises and waving frantically for at least 2-minutes as we walked away. We will definitely be buying our Cd's and DVDs from that branch from now on, what a hero Alan was.
From there we wandered around Pitt street where Jarvis did one of his amazing disappearing tricks which he's only done a couple of times before, but they always scare the life out of me. I've learnt now not to panic. I ask the nearest assistant if there are any other exits and if they say no, I explain that Jarvis has hidden somewhere in the shop, so can they go look while I stand at the door, in case he goes that way. The shop assistant found him making a wee bed from cloths under one of the sale displays.
From there Jarvis spotted his Mumma walking down the street, as she'd a few minutes between meetings to come and say a quick hello. The wee man was over the moon to see his most favourite person in the world. With his Mumma in tow, we went into the coolest toy/hobby shop we've ever seen which, is called Hobbyco. What a cool shop and we dropped a few hints to Adrienne that they stocked an amazing range of Scalextric.
Sadly, it was time for Adrienne to go back to work and earn some more money for Jarvis and I to spend on cool stuff, so we said our goodbyes. Once Adrienne was gone, Jarvis made some new friends from Wagga Wagga, a place I've heard mentioned many times, but didn't know the location of. They had taken a 7-hour bus ride from Wagga Wagga to see a musical event at The Sydney Opera House last night and were hanging around, killing time until they had to hop back on another bus, for the 7-hour trip back home. They were all musicians, except one, but she was half-Kiwi, so we'll let her off (Let It Be t-shirt) I've got to say that there's something about country people, ho don't have the wankiness of their city counterparts. I can't quite put my finger on it, but they had in in abundance and it was an absolute pleasure to chat to them. I still don't know where Wagga Wagga is, but hey, if they are all as nice as the one's we met today, then it can't be such a bad place at all.
The it was back home on the train for the ride home and a nice long sleep, which is where Jarvis is right now. After 3-hours in the city running after my Mr. Whirlwind, I think I might go join him. What a GREAT trip to the city.
House Dad.
