Runabout - Jarvee, Tommy And Sophie Style

Apologies for not updating yesterday, but I was a bit crook with a stomach bug, so pretty much stayed in bed all day with Jarvis and watched DVD's. Jarvis didn't seemed to mind as he got to cuddle up with his Dah all day long. I had to cancel our catch-up with Lisa and Oscar, as I was very tired and didn't want to pass on the bug to Lisa, who is pregnant. Jarvis and I did manage to walk as far as the local school to hand in some entry forms for pre-school which, we are hoping he'll be able to attend the year before he starts real school. We have to wait until August to find out if he gets in which would be great, as that's the school he'll be going to anyway, so being on-site before he starts would make things easier. He seemed to like the place, as when I was handing in the forms, he went for a wander and ended up sitting in a classroom full of big kids and was not keen to leave.

Finally, Jane, the mum of Jarvee's best buds Sophie and Tommy and I have have got our act together and managed to have a play date this morning at The Powerhouse Mumseum. Jarvee, Sophie, Tommy and I used to hang most Fridays with their carer Super Anne, who has now moved onto another job. Now Jane and I have decided that we'd like to keep up the relationship with the little one's because they have such a wonderful friendship full of love and respect which has been developed by Super Anne's skills as a Nanny over the last year.

What better place to start off this new phase of the friendship than the wonderful Powerhouse Museum, where our little people had a wonderful morning running around and having fun. After his day in bed looking after his Dah, Jarvis was full of beans and so much enjoyed running around with the twins, that he had tears of joy running from his eyes. It was so cute to see them playing like that again and when I saw that his eyes where all wet from laughing, it made me very, very happy.

Jane and I did an OK job too of keeping them all together, but we sadly lacked to skill of Super Anne to keep it totally cohesive all the time. As you can see, I didn't even manage to get a picture of all three little one's at once, as they were too fast and all over the place. Luckily, Jane and I were loaded with caffine and just about managed to keep up with them.

It was a great morning and I'm so glad that we've all hooked up again and will be doing play dates more often, as the twins and so adorable. Both Jarvis and I love them to bits and Jane is just such a warm, friendly and funky Mum, that we are now hanging out for our next catch-up.

House Dad.
