So really we've not much to tell you about our weekend and what Jarvis has been up to. We baked some cakes this morning, though that nearly didn't happen, as Jarvis ate nearly all the mixture before it got into the cake tin. Jarvis also used a hammer to puncture a hole in a coconut whilst his Dah held the screwdriver that he was hitting. How trusting am I to let Jarvis a 2.5 year old doing the hitting whilst I held the screwdriver? Luckily I survived with all my fingers unhurt. If you look at the picture where I'm pouring the coconut milk out, you can see what i try and achieve with Jarvis, and that is to give him as many experiences as possible. I know it's only opening a coconut, but I hope that by letting him help, he'll remember it, enjoy the process and feel part of the experience. Not a bad experience for a $2 coconut.
We did have a funny moment this afternoon when we were all cuddled up on the bed. I sniffed Jarvis' feet and said "Oh they smell bad" to which Jarvis replied "No Dah, they smell like chocolate" and then licked his feet and said "Umm, chocolate." if only feet did taste like chocolate and not cheese eh!
So another weekend bites the dust, though it's not been a great one, but I'm very sure that our Manz will come right. We've had a little bit of fun at home in between trips to the hospital and done a few things, but the main thing is we've had some quality time with our Adrienne/Mumma who we both adore and who gets better looking with every passing day.
House Dad.
