So at 10 this morning, Jarvis, Vanessa, Dane and I all jumped into our car and did the 30-minute drive to Bankstown, and area of Sydney that I've never been to before. It kind of reminded me of Brixton in South London, where I grew up, as it's a very blended community, comprising of heaps of different nationalities. Anyway, it was nice to visit a new place and very amusing to see the funny looks that Vanessa and I were getting, because sometimes Vanessa would be holding the hand of white, blond curly haired Jarvis, as I pushed a pram with wee Vietnamese/Chinese Dane inside. You could see people's minds ticking over thinking, "Hey how come they've got one straight white kid and one straight Asian one." Even some of Vanessa's friends and friends of her family were giving us funny looks, but luckily, Vanessa and I are VERY alike and don't give a toss what people think, and to be honest, probably get off on screwing with people's minds.
I did manage finally, to grab a picture of an elderly woman touching Jarvis' hair, as I often tell people that his hair starts the day curly however, after it's been touched by about 20-odd elderly woman, who all say the same thing which is "He'll hate it when he gets older", it's ends up a complete frizz ball.
In the evening our good friend and Adrienne's workmate Sally came round for a BBQ which was very nice. Sally is great fun and we are both into the same type of comedy and are planning to go to the movies at least once a week together from now on. I should get Sally and my other movie buddy Katherine to join us on the same night, as my movie viewing is getting more and more expensive.
House Dad.
