I Think You Are Really Cool Richie

I caught up with some old radio buddies from New Zealand this morning, Fletch and Brad from The Edge, who were over for a Silverchair concert last night in town. I'd only seen them a few weeks back when Jarvis and I stayed in Auckland, but it's always nice to catch up with mates from home. They'd had a big night as they'd been out with an ex-Edge mate, who is now at Nova, so looked very shabby when I met them at the hotel. They were in desperate need of some breakfast and some coffee.

We decided to have a stroll around Darling Harbour where I wanted to grab a Starbucks coffee. As we walked up to the Starbucks, we saw the whole Crusaders Team sitting in the sun enjoying a coffee. I thought, oh my god, I'm so glad I wasn't wearing my Crusaders shirt as that would be very embarrassing, but what a pity Jarvis wasn't with me, as I've taught him to shout "Go Saders" in preparation for tonight's game. I did have to take a picture of Brad with Richie McCaw The Crusaders Captain which Fletch thought was very funny, ripping the piss out of him, saying in one of those squeaky high-pitched teenage voices "hI riCHIE...i thINK you ARe reALLy cool."

We headed over nice and early to the game at Aussie Stadium, so Jarvis could run off some energy before kick-off, however he was so into the event, that he kept on going and going. Just before kick-off, Zara (Oscar's new Nanny) and her partner Peter turned up and Jarvis was full of hugs for them, which was so sweet to see. Jarvis loved the fireworks, screamed "Go Sader's" all-night long and made some new friends, who were also Kiwi's living in Sydney. Adrienne did have to take him for a couple of walks when he was a bit bored of staying in the one place, but it tied in nicely with Adrienne's pregnant bladder breaks.

The game was pretty tense and The Warattah's, even though they've had a pretty woeful season, certainly turned it on for The Crusaders, but sadly some poor ball handling and lack of vision was their undoing. Saying that, they were NO easy beats and took it to a very close 34 - 33 victory for The Crusaders, who had to fight for every point. Ten tries between the two teams though, made for a very entertaining game.

House Dad.
