Not Jarvis, Spiderman - Mall Rats

Jarvis is quite into Spider Man at the moment, so I secretly bought him a new outfit on eBay the other day. It turned up yesterday afternoon and he was DELIGHTED when we opened the packet, and just had to put it on straight away. The funny thing was though, that once he put it on and had his first look in the mirror, he was a bit awe struck, as he couldn't quite take it in, that he was wearing the same outfit as his hero. However, after a while he was bounding all over the house, jumping from sofa to coffee table, to chair, pretending to fire spider-webs from his arms. Adrienne had no idea that I'd bought the outfit and Jarvis was just BUSTING with anticipation, as he looked down the road for his beloved Mumma to come into sight. Once his Mumma came round the corner, he bounded off down the road screaming, "Mumma, love you, Spider Man." It was so cute and Adrienne was stoked to see her little superhero.

We both laughed later as Jarvis would come up to us with his mask on and say "Me Spider Man", then take it off and say, "Not Spider Man, Jarvis." He was stoked that he thought that like the fictional Spider Man, we also had no idea of the super heroes real identity.

As we are away next week, we had to go to the mall today at Bondi to pick up a few things for our trip, so went off early. We had a pleasant surprise too, as we bumped into my Nanny friend Tieia, who was on her way to catch up with some other buddies. It was great to at last introduce Adrienne to Tieia, who I've been going to the movies with and hanging with heaps in the daytime with Jarvis and her charges Portia and Scarlett.

At the mall, Adrienne had to buy some preggy casual cloths for around the house, but most shops only had small or large which, is a bit of a problem for Adrienne as she only really puts on about 15 kilos throughout her pregnancy, so is kind of big in the puku/boob area, but normal everywhere else. Luckily, Adrienne found some cheap 3/4 track pants at Target that will do the job and we also picked up a set of PJ's for Jarvis, that were of course, Spider man ones.

Jarvis was such a good boy at the mall and he scored a set of glow in the dark planets and stars for being so well behaved. While Adrienne bought some new shoes and other bits and bobs, Jarvis and I had a wonderful time playing amongst all the shop fittings and making heaps of new friends. As per normal, we also had about 30 comments on his hair.

Before we left the mall, we decided to have some kai, so Jarvis and Adrienne had a rare treat of KFC, whilst I struggled with my cous cous salad, as I'm still on my health kick of running each day and eating well. As we only get to eat fast food about once every six-weeks or so, it's somewhat of a treat and tastes delicious and I'd given anything to have swapped my bland tasting salad for an overcooked, fat-drenched piece of chicken...mmmmm. But sadly no, as Adrienne and Jarvis want me to be a healthy and long living Dah which, is what it's all about I suppose.

House Dad.
