Pee Pressure

If yesterday was relaxed, then today was comatose, as Adrienne and Jarvis haven't even been outside which isn't a problem, as firstly, this weekend has been about letting Adrienne relax and secondly, the weather is complete poo! So we made the most of staying home by doing some cleaning and starting Jarvis off on his toilet training.

We put off toilet training, as we knew we'd be away for a couple of weeks in New Zealand, so felt it wouldn't do to start and then disrupt it with a week in a camper van. However, today was the perfect day to start, as we planned to stay in all day. Jarvis has been using his potty with excellent results for a couple of months now, but we've had mixed success with him wearing underpants, as I think he forgets that he has them on and thinks they are a nappy. It's been a pretty good success rate today, with lots of wees in the potty, but a couple of accidents too. I think we've had two changes of underwear today, so that's not too bad.

So all in all, I've not really much to write about today, as it's been a relaxing and cleaning day, with not too much excitement. Jarvis and I did play space rockets on the sofa which, involves Jarvis pressing some pretend buttons on my leg that opens the spaceship door, then he presses some more buttons to close them. Next we count "5...4...3...3...1...blast off" and fly for a bit before landing and putting on the hand-brake.

As it's been a very quiet day, I've struggled to get some cool pictures too, so what we have below are just some shots of Jarvis and Adrienne relaxing on the sofa, Jarvis and I playing rocket-ships, the new solar system poster I put up in Jarvee's room today, and the DVD, book and DVDs that I organised today...see I told you I was struggling.

I was just about to finish today's rather boring post, when we had a nice visit from Louise and Michael. It's been quite a while since they've seen Adrienne and Jarvis, so were quite surprised at how Jarvis' speaking had come on, and how much Adrienne's puku has grown. It was a fairly quick visit, as the clocks have gone back this weekend in New South Wales, so Jarvis was a bit hyper to see them, as he's been inside all day and he's getting a bit grumpy too, as it's past his normal bed-time.

House Dad.

I see Adrienne is a Marian Keyes fan : )
I wish my bookcase looked as organised as yours! Oh well, it will have to wait. I've been rushing around organising things for baby no. 3 and have just about finished that crocheted blanket that was meant for my twin nephews, but never got finished in time...oh the shame!
