Pond Water...Yuk!

Jarvis has been learning well from his Dah, as every morning I make Adrienne and Jarvis breakfast, and if time suits, will make Adrienne breakfast in bed even. Well Jarvis must have picked up on this and while his Mumma was in the shower, he made her a special breakfast on a plate, carried it into the bedroom and told me 'Breakfast for Mumma Dad." What a nice gesture, it's just a shame it was plastic food, but he is learning to look out for the MOST IMPORTANT woman in our life, our beautiful Mumma/Adrienne.

We finally managed to catch up with our good friends from Paddington this morning, Lisa, Oscar, Alisa, Kai and Spencer at the duck ponds in Centennial Park. With one thing and another, it must have been a couple of months since we've seen them all, so this morning was especially nice as Jarvis got to give them all a present from his trip to New Zealand. Poor Lisa though, now has her foot in a cast due to having a broken foot, so enlisted the help of Kiwi Nanny Zara to help out. I had spare Whittaker's Peanut Slab in my back-pack which, Jarvis gave to Zara, so she didn't feel left out of the present giving.

Since knowing Lisa and Oscar, the boys have only been a little interested in playing with each other, however this morning, I was so delighted to see them playing together constantly. They really did enjoy each other's company, and it made my morning so much more pleasant, by not having to redirect Jarvis all the time. Also, Jarvis can be a bit heavy-handed sometimes, and It was good to see Oscar give as good as he got and in one instance, get the better of Jarvis 'big-time.' I'm not sure who was misleading who, but both boys ended up in the water, much to my horror. I don't mind Jarvis going into water, even though I had no other change of clothing, but the duck pond has never seemed the most clean of water expanses I've been around. However Lisa and Alisa didn't seem to bat an eyelid, and they are locals and would know the dangers, if they existed.

After a while, more and more of the Paddington crew turned up and the wee beach area was teaming with friends. It was really pleasant to see everyone and we'll make sure we that we come over to Paddington every Thursday from now on.

House Dad.
