The box buying was great fun, as Jarvis got to push them from the shop, all the way down the ramp and up and into the car. All the way adults kept telling him how strong he was and he'd stop and show his wee muscles. Once the boxes were safely stowed, I asked Jarvis to show me the way to the libary, which he did without any hesiatation and a walk of about 10-minutes. I was so proud of my wee man for knowing the way. It was also good to bump into Liz, Aiden and Imogen from our play group at the libary and get some great advice from another parent who has already done the second little person thing. Liz gave some wonderful advice, one of which was to give Jarvis a present from his newborn brother, when he comes along. How sweet is that. As per normal, I talked too much, which I tend to do when I bump into another adult, but did manage to get a picture of Jarvis with Liz, Aiden and Imogen, however, as per normal when taking a picture involving little people, you never get everyone smiling at the camera at the same time.
The books we choose were Uno's Garden, The Erie Canal Pirates, Barfburger Baby, I was Here First, Walter The Farting Dog Goes On A Cruise and another couple of books called Bush Babies and Bushranger Bill, so that we could brush up on our poor knowledge of Australian animals.
Then it was time for a spot of lunch at our favourite cheapo cafe in the Italian Forum, where we can get a toasted sandwich and cup of coffee for $7.50. The chicken and cheese toasted sandwwich was great and devoured by the boys and the coffee was 'oh so' what I needed to keep me going. When it was time to go, Jarvis and I did the normal and argued over who was paying for lunch, but then stopped and laughed, because, as per normal, it's Adrienne/Mummas money. Ha ha, how we laughed!
Once back home, the boys unloaded the boxes, then Jarvis pushed them up the road, carried them, with my help, up the steps and then put them under his bunk beds. I say his bunk bed, with tongue in cheek, as I'm still getting a fantastic nights sleep in the beds, whilst the fidgeting pair of Adrienne and Jarvis still snuggle up together each night. I just thought, I'll be able to lean under the bed at night now, pull out a box and be able to build stuff from lego or play with cars...wahoo!
