Anyway, on a lighter note, we caught up with our lovely friends Tieia, Portia and Scarlet this morning at Rushcutter Bay and had a merry time in the wee play ground there. Portia and Jarvis are complete opposites, in that Jarvis tears around all over the place, making a mess and heaps of noise, while Portia sits very quietly, like a very well bred woman, looking at Jarvis and thinking OMG! They did come together for a while though, when they were playing with each other, by sticking their fingers through the slits in the bench seat and ticking each others finger tips.
It's always good to catch up with fellow Kiwi Tieia too, as she's very, very bright and the conversation is always stimulating, plus she knows how to look after little people. I've had a few sticky moments with Jarvis over the last few days, and Tieia offered some wonderful advice, that I've since put into practice and has worked a treat. I wonder if they'd work on Adrienne? I very, very much doubt it!
So yeah, Tieia's Top Tip this week is to cut a banana in half and then scoop out the mushy stuff with a wee baby spoon and place directly into the babies mouth (see pic). How simple and cool is that?
Before the girls left, Tieia decided that next weeks movie date would be to see Running With Scissors, as my last choice was a shocker and left us both highly strung. Has anyone seen it yet? I've got the book but haven't got around to reading it. Anyway, within minutes of them going, Jarvis and I were down by the waters edge throwing as much wooden debris over the wee wall and into the harbor as we could, which was such cool fun. Boys and water eh!
House Dad.

That's great tips on banana. I do that a lot because I saw someone do it once, and it saves on having to packed and wrapped baby food.
Can't do it with Yossi (my almost 3 years old) because he is almost always constipated after he turn one.
