Financial Institution Comes To Standstill

Going on a train and getting to see Mumma two days in a row when visiting the city is a great treat for Jarvis. It came about as I had a dental appointment this morning, just round the corner from where Adrienne works, so she nicked out for 60-minutes so that I could get a check up and clean. As much fun as it is visiting Adrienne at work, we do try and avoid it, as the whole place stops when Jarvis enters the place and goes from desk to desk on the scrounge. Jarvis has certainly inherited his Mothers confidence and is not at all phased to wander off around the place introducing himself and trying to score all the nick-nacks that everyone has on their desks.

From Adrienne's place it was onto the dentists which are conveniently located in George Street, only a 300 metres from where Adrienne works. As always, I've found it important not to pass my fears onto to Jarvis, so thought it would be a good idea for him to come in and watch, so he wasn't scared when he goes for his first check up. He looked a bit uncertain at first, then a slightly interested, then totally over it, all in about 2-minutes, so my idea kind of fell flat on its face. Ah well, I tried.

The check up went well with NO work being needed, which is such a relief after not having been anywhere near a dentists since moving over from New Zealand. I had hoped to ask about Jarvis getting a check up when I was there, but sadly we ran out of time. Does anyone know when toddlers have their first check ups?

After leaving Adrienne, Jarvis and I headed back to the station with the view of getting onto the next train, however we had these strange voices in our head saying 'This is Auntie Sophie, you need to eat some Hungry Jacks." So in honour of our bestest buddy back in New Zealand we both tucked into some chicken nuggets and burger, making it fast-food two days in a row, which would be the first time ever in Jarvis' life and hopefully the last. It tastes like crap, but at moments like that, it's just so convenient.

House Dad.

You've just gotta love those voices in your head, telling you to eat that yummy stuff, lol : )
Well done on the dentist visit. I know what you mean [cringe!] I think I have some expensive work waiting for me when I go next!

Hi guys. Cole had his first dental visit not long after he turned two. We sent an enrolment form to the local school dental nurse and she contacted us. Not sure if it works the same in Oz, but I'm sure you could take him anytime you liked. Bex :)
