Jarvee Gets Smart with His Olds

After coming back from my 6.00am run, I showered and went back to bed, so as not to wake my babies. I did however hear them talking in the kitchen about an hour later, though in my half-sleeping state, I only made out the conversation was about breakfast. A while later Adrienne came into my room with a cup of tea and some toast (breakfast in bed...wahoo) and told me about the conversation she'd just had with Jarvis. Apparently he'd not eaten much of his breakfast, so Adrienne told him to look up at the shelf and said "What would you like for breakfast then Jarvis? Wet-Bix, cornflakes, coco pops or porridge?" Jarvis then looked up and spotted the biscuit jar and said "Biscuits for breakfast Mumma, I have biscuits for breakfast." Obviously Adrienne said "Sorry Jarvis, biscuits not for breakfast honey" and without missing a beat and with his arms held out said "Well what are they for then" and walked off!

Adrienne had to give a speech today at a conference out Ryde way, so Jarvis and I went along for the ride ad to give Adrienne a hard time with her map reading directions, which is just a joke, as she's always right, but I love to tease her, as you can see from her face in the picture below. Jarvis was armed with his snacks and safely seated in his rocket chair, so off we went and with Adrienne's excellent map reading skills we dropped her off 30-minutes later. What to do for the next two-hours? Luckily we spotted a mall and decided to go and play there until Adrienne was finished.

It was a great a mall and we picked up Tommy and Sophie's birthday present, which we'll give them on Wednesday, when we go for a birthday trip to the zoo with them. Jarvis also had a great time running all over the place and as we didn't have anything to do but kill time, I just let him run from shop to shop. We went to Dick Smiths and cranked up their hi-fi systems really loud and scored free chocolate egg for the cute young Shop Assistant called Debbie in Myers. We then stopped outside a sports shop that had three large pictures of three different coloured Converse sneakers in the window, that Jarvis thought was cool. I asked him "Jarvis would you like the red ones, blue ones or white ones", to which he replied "No Dah, no want them, too big for Jarvis." THE BOY STRIKES AGAIN!

Now my babies are in bed having a wonderful sleep and I've just enough time to finish this blog and then go crash on the sofa for three back-to back games of Super 14...It's good to be a bloke eh!

House Dad.
