A Play Date With Michelle And Ava

After a hiccup last week due to illness, Jarvis and I finally got to have our first ever play date with our new buddies Michelle and Ava, who we met in the library a few weeks back. And as Michelle has been in the area for longer than us, she picked the venue, which was a park in Hawthorn Parade, Liechhardt. What a great location too, as it was a wee park near a small river with plenty of shade cloth, which is such a great thing on a sunny day ilke today. Plus there were plenty of new things for Jarvis to climb and slide on, with the major bonus being some BIG BOYS to play with - how cool!

The meet up did have a bit of a sticky start when we discovered that we follow different codes of Rugby, Michelle being a St George Leaguey and me being a Unionite. I gave out about her game being just a bunch of blokes running into each other and Michelle gave out about the stupidity of rucks and mauls. In the end we agreed to put aside the differences for the sake of our little people. Michelle also has a son of five called Jak who does play Littley League, and I asked this morning if we could come along and watch him play one Sunday morning, as I think it would be good for Jarvis to take an interest in sport.

Anyway, back to our play date, which are so often divided between keeping a watchful eye over your little person and using the rest of your brain to chat with your friend. Michelle and I did quite well and had a pretty good natter, be it in several parts and Michelle turned out to be as cool and funky as I'd hoped. Michelle, as already mentioned, has a five-year-old, so was a mine of information about what I could expect in the years to come with Jarvis. She also has a very healthy and positive outlook about parenting, which you can see comes through in her beautiful daughter Ava.

Somehow we managed to stay at the park for nearly three and a half hours, which made for a most successful first play date and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come. There is one snag though, as Michelle told me that she regulary does something called Physical Culture. I have no idea what it is, but Michelle told me to check it out on the Internet, which is what I'm about to do. So if Michelle does not apear on this site again, then we'll know that she turned out to be a Physie Freak!

Gee Lee, I think you will soon have all your regular readers husbands wanting to come over and be part of your 'play dates' with all the beautiful women you spend your day with! But please don't let her convert you to her type of rugby!

Lol, yeah it's a tough life I lead eh! All these Yummy Mummies and Hot Nannies like Tieia that I hang with is pretty cool fun, but they all hang with us for one reason, a cute little guy called Jarvis. I'm just the fat old bloke that tags along with food and drinks...lol.
