It's Good To Be A Jarvis

Even though we have the tiniest house in Sydney, I still go back and forth all day, as various members of the family call out for this and that. "Dah, can I have some apple juice" or "Honey, can you get me a glass of milk please." I don't mind at all, but this morning I was wasting so much time going into the lounge to hear Jarvis requests, going back into the kitchen to get whatever he wanted, then trekking back in with it, that I was getting fed up with it all. In the end I decided that we'd talk via the walkie talkies. This way Jarvis could just ask for whatever he wanted and it would arrive seconds later. The best bit though was when I heard from the walkie talkie "I love you Dah, all around the world, all around the sun and all around the planets." How sweet was that?

While I did the weekly grocery shop (I get all the good jobs aye) Adrienne, Jarvis and Felix went to the movies to see Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. Adrienne said that it was a great movie, however, as per normal, they left about 20-minutes before the end, as Jarvis and Felix just can't sit around for two-hours.

On the way home from the mall/movies, we stopped off to get some McDonald's from the drive through. Jarvis was wonderful, insisting that he paid for lunch with his beloved Mumma's money. Ava the girl who served us, was wonderful and had a wee joke around with Jarvis.

As Adrienne had the boys while I did the shopping, I had plenty of time to hunt through the supermarket for some different things to add to Jarvis school lunch box. Over the last few weeks, he's been getting bored with it's contents, so this morning I found some new things to add. I even slipped in some jam tarts, that Jarvis spotted straight away when we got home. They came in a four pack and were devoured within a couple of hours.

In the evening our neighbour Vanessa and her wee boy Dane came round to see us. Vanessa, Ken and Dane arrived back from Vietnam today and brought round some birthday gifts for the boys. Jarvis scored a really cool treasure box and a couple of small wooden dolls, one of which, he's called Vanessa, as she's originally from Vietnam.

So yeah, life's pretty good if your a Jarvis aye :o)

House Dad.
