The Week That Was

Jarvis has been attending his schools holiday programme on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so we can keep in the normal routine. He really enjoys it, as I noticed he was having more fun playing with little people his own age at the start of the week, when we had a trip to the park. It's a pretty fun packed day for the little people too, with lots more than I could keep him entertained with. For example, apart from the everyday activities, this week they've had a guy visit bringing with him a whole host of reptiles and snakes, they've had a disco and today some African drummers showed up. That's much, much more than his boring old Dah could have come up with.

While Jarvis has been at his holiday programme, Felix and I have been busy at home giving the play room a complete tidy up. It was just getting so cluttered, with all sorts of bits and pieces being thrown into boxes. So with his little Brothers help, I cleaned up and sorted out all the toys, putting lego into lego boxes, cars into a separate boxes and so forth. I love to be organised. I even did a toy swap, taking some stuff up into the loft and bringing down his Scalextric set. Jarvis was delighted to come home and set it all up. He's become somewhat skilled at it now, even having two cars racing around at the same time. Dah being Dah, felt it needed something more, so I built a grandstand, bridge and tunnel from lego.

This morning Jarvis took it upon himself to wander around the house with the camera snapping whatever took his fancy. In all, he took 22 pictures, 9 of which were of the same soccer ball! On his wanders, he took a picture of his wee Brother, several of his beloved Mumma (I haven't posted the ones of Adrienne in her bra), his beloved Mumma's Vegemite on toast and his Dah in the bath!

Oh and he even gave his Dah a fright tonight, as I couldn't find him anywhere in our shoe box sized house. I looked high and low, with no luck. I knew he was hiding, but where? Eventually I saw a little flash of curly blond hair sticking out of the trap door on the side of his castle/farm stand. How he squeezed in, still amazes me, but he managed to repeat the feat again, just to scare his beloved Mumma when she came home from work.

House Dad.
