Fun At Little Dynamo's

Strangely for me, I had absolutely no plans for today as to what we would be doing. We didn't get up and rush around busily getting ready to shoot off at lightning speed on an adventure, but instead cruised around the house until about 8.30 until we'd decided on what to do. Adrienne was right, about once a month, I'll act like everyone else and be normal and not have each second of the day planned. But anyway, after a chat with the boys, we thought we'd pay Little Dynamo's a visit, as we've not been there for ages.

So it was that we found ourselves at the doors of Little Dynamo's as soon as they opened, which is cool, as we pretty much have the place to ourselves for the first 30-minutes or so. A bonus too was that Felix slept in his stroller for the first half hour while there, so I got to devote some time, just to Jarvis, which is always special. In that time we went up and down the big slide (see vids), bounced on the bouncy castle and fire foam balls at each other. It was heaven.

What was really cool though was that once Felix had woken, Jarvis still wanted us to still all play together, which was really nice. So the three of us had another 4-hours of fun together, making for the most pleasant morning. Though as we played, a thought went through my head. As the morning progressed, several other Dads arrived, but as per normal, they all stood back and watched their wee ones playing. It got me to thinking: Are guys too shy to let their hair down and get amongst it with their little people? Are they too staunch and see it as not manly to crawl around in public and have fun? Or am I a freak and not normal for wanting to spend as much time with my little people and enjoy their squeals and giggles as we play and have the most ridiculous fun? I'm not going to change and I definitely know that I'm the winner, it's just that I know these guys are missing out on so much, as our little people are so little for such a short time.

But yeah, a wonderful, wonderful morning with my precious boys :o)

House Dad.
