The Stay At Home Boy

Jarvis didn't have too good a night sleeps on the previous night, waking often and with a high temperature. For this reason I made the call that we'd have an at home day, so that he could rest up and recharge his batteries before going back to school. Jarvis didn't seem to mind the idea either, as he was pretty flat this morning and was quite happy to lay in bed and watch his favorite cartoon Scooby Doo. He also spent some time up on the top bunk, where Felix can't get him, playing with his Ben 10 toys.

Jarvis has been off his food all day, but I've kept up his fluids and given him lots and lots of cuddles, which is just the best thing ever. He repaid my cuddles by presenting me with the most amazing drawing of the whanau. Looking at the picture below and working clockwise, Jarvis has drawn himself in a spotty shirt, followed by a very lanky Dah (wish my legs were that long for running) then a Felix and finally his beloved Mumma, with again, some gorgeous long legs. I was truly astounded by his drawing abilities and will keep the picture for ever.

In the afternoon we were visited by Signe, Betty and Evie, which was delightful, as by now we'd been inside all day, so the company was well needed. Signe was pleased to see some Japanese symbols on Jarvis Ben 10 playing cards too.

And finally, just before Jarvis beloved Mumma arrived home, Jarvis put on one of the Skins headbands that I scored at the City 2 Surf run yesterday. As soon as he put it on, I thought he looked just like John McEnroe, from back in the day.

House Dad.

P.S Adrienne has just done an update to Felix's blog.
