Nanny Ronnie The Sewing Legend

The weather has been poo for Jarvis Grandparents since they arrived on Thursday, as we are having a very wet spell. This is all good for us, as we really need to water, but not great for visitors. So it was that Adrienne took the boys and Grandparents for a look at her office this morning, as it has amazing views over the city. It also gave me a much needed break and some quiet Lee time at home.

They arrived back after a couple of hours and that's when I asked Nanny Ronnie if she could sew the three patches onto Jarvis new running top. Adrienne and I don't sew, so had no idea how to do it, with me even drawing blood within seconds just trying to pin the patches in the right place!
Having no experience with sewing, I thought that it would be a 20-minute job, however about two-hours later Nanny Ronnie finally finished. So thank you Mum for a splendid job, you really got us out of a tight spot there.

It was then time for dinner and we were delighted to be treated to a takeaway curry from our favorite Indian restaurant Surjit's, which is just down the road from us. It was a wonderful meal, enjoyed by not only the olds, but some of the milder stuff by Jarvis. This is wonderful, as traditionally, Adrienne and I have always loved hot and spicy food, so if the boys eventually enjoy it as well, then woohoo!

Nanny Ronnie must have drunk too much wine with her curry and fell asleep on the sofa. She was meant to be helping Jarvis do some drawing, so we let Jarvis draw with felt pen on her nose. It was so funny and we were hoping he'd be able to do the whole face, but Nanny Ronnie woke up - bugger!

I've debated as to whether I should document this next piece, as it might show our family in a bad light, however this is a warts and all blog and hey, these things happen and we are no angels. Anyway, as I was just finishing off the blog Jarvis and Adrienne came and gave me a kiss goodnight, as they do every night as I update The World Of Jarvis Tahi. After a few minutes, Jarvis came back with a very concerned and serious face and said "Dah, it's too late, you need to sleep, so go to bed. If you stay up you'll get tired and be grumpy tomorrow and say fuck." I found it humorous, as it's not a word he uses, but also quiet interesting, as he spotted that I'm not good if I push myself too hard, so was touched by his seriousness and concern.

So yeah, I'm off to bed, because if I stay up any latter, we all know what will happen tomorrow don't we ha ha.
